“You are such a chick.”
I widened my eyes in mock surprise.
“No way. Are you sure?”
Alice in Zombieland
My Rating: 3.5/5
Release Date: 25th September 2012
Series: first book in the white rabbit series
Issue: paperback, brought
I feel as if, if i didn’t have any expectations for this book it would have been better. It was nothing like i had expected and because of that it didn’t reach my expectations. I had such high hopes and it was nothing like it.
Let me be clear: ALICE DOES NOT GO ANYWHERE. she does not go to wonderland or zombieland. Basically zombies are just in her life. Except no one can see the zombies unless you have had traumatic experience or other things like that (all explained in book). Alice’s whole family dies right of the bat. I think you get a couple of chapters in and Bam! dead. car accident.
this might just have been all that was needed for Alice to see the zombies her father always went on about.
with the white rabbit in the sky messages aren’t always clear, is he there to protect her? does she need to avoid something when the rabbit comes out? what does it mean?
All is well when Ali meets Cole. Well not really well his sort of not kind of girlfriend is jealous of Ali and hates her juts. But Ali sort of not kind of wins Cole’s heart?
Whatever her status is with Cole and the other bunch of bricks is she need’s there help. These Zombies are kind of an issue and are sort of not kind of trying to kill her. or maybe they are just trying to turn her into one of them?
This book was hard to get into but around halfway it all made sense and it was all smooth sailing. I love this book but not enough to give it a solid four. It was so hard to get into. Maybe it was because my expectations where so high?
I would still love to see how the series continues but for now i am going to take a break from the white rabbit chronicles and go onto something a little bit more interesting.
My favourite part of this book was anything to do with Cole. He is amazing. If you are not interested in reading this book, just read it because of him.
Until next time book lovers.

If anyone had told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real.
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.
