Hey Book Nation,
it’s November in case you didn’t already know.
But this month is not just like any other month. no, it’s one month closer to Christmas. but you know it is also NaNoWriMo. If you don’t know what nanowrimo is, don’t stress i only learnt about it in may this year.
So basically it’s a personally challenge to try and write 50,000.
In july i participated in Camp NaNoWriMo where i wrote a story about a genie (i have no other words to describe it but ‘genie’) i think it was 60,000 words, but i did also cheat and had words to begin with.
But i am thinking about participating in this years writing challenge. I’m want to part take in it but i have school and it’s exam time so i don’t believe i will have much time to write. (did i tell you i forgot about one of my assignments the other day and only had an hour to write it, luckily it was only the draft though).
So this month instead of starting from scratch i’m just going to edit my genie story, hopefully also come up with a name.
I know for a fact it was written terribly the first time round. When i wrote it earlier this year i had only just gotten back into reading, i also hadn’t written something creative in a million years.
So my goal for my first ever NaNoWriMo, is to edit my genie story. I also hope to get it to 80,000 words. So around 20,000 words to write. plus editing because it looks like a three year old wrote it.
i guess i will let you all know how it goes.
are you competing in NaNoWriMo this year? have you before?
until next time reader fans.
